Barcelona ‘Completely Revitalized’ Backstory

After seeing weeks earlier London prepare to host this summer’s Olympics, learning that the ’92 Olympics in Spain completely revitalized Barcelona really caught my ear. I gathered information during our visit to TV3, from ISA’s Barcelona office and at our visit to the actual Olympic venue here in Barcelona. Being able to see in person both cities — one that is years into reusing its facilities and another that’s in its last stages of preparation for an upcoming summer games — gave me a holistic perspective of what hosting the Olympics does to a city’s economy, its people and its landscape.
